A worker was cutting grass of a huge lawn. He was using a device specifically designed to cut the grass under the railing. Why are people so crazy for cutting their grass in an overly proper, accurate, and extremely articulated shapes?

A few years ago before I came to the United States a friend of mine who happens to be a Ph.D. student in mathematics in Chicago at the time said "sometimes a cup of coffee is my only happiness." Her brother and I made fun of her and we didn't cut it out for several hours. "how desperate you are ha, ha, ha!" I still think there was slight (!) exaggeration in her words but I think, today, I understand what she was talking about...
